Behind the scan: an AR scene, a story episode, or a quest
The first tap should show the payoff at once, whether that is an AR layer, a story episode, or a quest, and the code itself still has to scan cleanly.
Scenes that sit on the product
A 3D model, a filter, or a hint on the product itself can run as WebAR without an install from an app store. The QR only carries the scene URL, so serve the heavy files from a CDN and try them on a slow mobile network. A static code is enough for a one-off showing. If the scene must change after print, use dynamic codes on QRcode Global.
Episodes released over weeks
Week by week, several codes, or one dynamic code with different tags, open the next episode. Reward people for finishing the previous step, and keep a fallback full landing for anyone who joins in the middle of the series.
Play that is easy to finish
Quests, points, location stamps, and draws work when the rules are short and the reward is obvious. Let people play before any optional signup, and do not collect heavy personal data on the first step. Measure quest completion and repeat visits, not only raw scans.
So a playful layout still scans
Even a playful layout needs strong contrast and enough matrix size. Short URLs keep module density low. Test the scan under different light before printing. Complex analytics belong in the QRcode Global cabinet.
