Spot a sticker that was pasted over your code
The square itself is only a pointer. Trouble starts at the page it opens, or when a stranger covers your mark with another one.
Codes glued on top of yours
In a public place, someone may stick a fresh code over the printed one. For a campaign that matters, use stock that is hard to peel, or run a managed dynamic code on QRcode Global.
Pause before you follow the address
Read the address the camera shows first. Skip password fields after a casual scan on the street. For payments, stay with official tills and domains you already know.
When the code is yours to publish
Send people only to pages you own or have checked. A static code from qr-free.online keeps the payload off our server. The page it opens is still your responsibility.
