Do not shrink a module to a dot
A slip and a mini label force the picture down. If a dark cell becomes thinner than the printer line, the camera sees a blot. A shorter URL and a larger square beat a long link squeezed into the corner.
Where to leave space on the strip
Do not sit the matrix against the cut line, and do not put it on the faded edge of the roll. The code needs a light frame around it. On thermal paper, black on yellow still reads; grey on cream does not.
What belongs in a code that small
